News Flash

Wanted to get the word out that I have bought my ticket to come back to the Bay Area before graduation time. I'm in late Thursday, May 29th through Sunday, June 1. Though I just heard last night it is a board weekend, I hope to be able to see all of you before everyone scatters to the wind.

April 5 & 6 - Conference Crazy

Our stake was asked to provide a choir for the temple grounds after the priesthood session to counter the spirit of the protesters. So Steph and I went down.
We weren't really prepared for the coldness after the sun went down but it was a neat experience.Lousy video. Death look from Steph. :)

A bunch of friends got together for breakfast Sunday morning session. It was good eats.Steph and I paying good attention.
Like everyone else.
They gave us Sunday afternoon tickets for singing. We didn't quite arrive early enough, so we were three rows from the very top. It is such an amazing sight.
Steph couldn't go, so my mom got to go with me. :)

April 5 - Lunatic Fridge It

Steph heard about this salon, Lunatic Fringe, from a friend at work who always has great hair. So she made herself an appointment and begged me the night before to go with her. I had finally acknowledged that my sweet, spoiled time with incredibly, amazing, generous Katie, especially this last year, has come to a sad but necessary end. So I went with her.
As usual I said to the girl. Do what you think would look good. I like the length, because I'm a low maintenance girl and just simply value my sleep over my looks. She said we would keep it below the shoulders. She said she thought I looked good dark, even with the warm weather coming up. This is what I walked away with....
I thought it was cute. I didn't think it was me. I didn't think I could pull it off. I'm getting use to it. Everyone is getting use to it. The descriptive words have been...sassy, sexy, sleek. We'll see.

April 4 - I Karumba

A couple of the girls and I wanted to go out dancing on Friday night. One of my friends said she knew of this great place we could go, but it had been awhile since she had been there. We show up about ten, pay and come around the corner to, no joking, like ten people in the entire club. Since we had already paid, we went and pick up another friend and burned some time getting something for dessert. We tried again and went back another hour and half later. This time it was busier, but they were making all the announcements in Spanish. We couldn't understand a thing. Come to find out another hour later it was an Argentinian Festival. Not quite what we had in mind, but turned out to be a goofy enjoyable night anyway.

March 31 - Typical

So my good friend Nicole is coming to visit from San Francisco. First timer to Salt Lake. She was asking about the weather when she visits. I didn't have a clear answer and this is why...
Monday morning out my work window. This is the afternoon of that same day.
Any questions?

You gotta just love Utah.

March 29 - Some Saturday

We heard about this Festival of Colors, an indian tradition welcoming the arrival of spring. They have a colored chalk fight symbolizing the throwing of your worries to the wind. We gathered a bunch of friends to make the drive to Spanish Fork. About half way there we got a call from a resource saying we had missed the whole thing...our timing was wrong. So we turned around...

We sat around trying to decide what to do....
We took pictures(Amy & I)... We went to eat...
We ended up at someone else's bowling birthday party.
Ended up to be a pretty stinkin' great night.

March 28 - Go Gymnastics

A handful of us went to support the University of Utah's gymnastics against rival Brigham Young University. I haven't been to a meet since I was little. It was incredible at see what these girls can do with their bodies. We stomped on BYU by like two whole points and one of our girls got a perfect ten on the beam. I'm really glad that I went.

Round One...
Mindy, Gina, Tami, Me :)

Maybe Not

I really really don't want to go private.

Ok, so I got an email a couple of months ago saying, hey I saw your blog and I think you should check this out. I was creeped out at the idea of a perfect stranger thinking, one, they could look at it and, two, that they could send me an email. But I ignored it recognizing these are the risks.

Then I got not one but two comments that said click and the first time without thinking I did it and this whole anti virus stuff popped up which I thought was my own computer and was clicking through it but then discovered that it wasn't my computer it was what I clicked on. Very quickly I deleted all things that had automatically attached itself to my computer. Smart enough to think first when I saw it again I just deleted the comment from my blog.

I think with the character verification I'm hoping this won't happen anymore. Even though it is annoying, I don't think it is as bad as the private requirement. Sorry to put everyone through some loops this week.

Seriously...GGGRRRR

Today I received my 2nd spam thing from having an open blog. In fact, it tried to give my new computer a virus. It frustrated me. So even though I have hated the private blogs, I'm afraid I am going to change as well. I'm nervous about strike three.

Please let me know your email address if you would like to continue to see this crazy blog. So sorry. :(

March 23 - Egg-cellent Easter

Nothing like some good old fashion egg dying with crazy friends.

It's hard NOT to smile.

March 17 - Over the Top

The Jazz games have been so fun this year. Jen Jan hooked us up with season seats. For the life of me I cannot figure out how we ended up with so much food.
We were in one of the lucky sections that gave us noise makers. We are easily entertained.
Our team seems to have got significantly more attractive in the last couple of years. :)
The Jazz wailed on the Toronto Rapters on St. Patrick's/Kyle Korver's birthday.
Funny enough I went on a date to another Jazz game that following Saturday. We had to scalp tickets because it was sold out...minus VIP seats running $320 each! They won that game too. I found out that a friend of mine, his family has front row/box tickets through his grandpa because of advertising he does with the Jazz. I'm trying to suck up as much as possible...the playoffs are coming! ;)

March 16 - Sunday Sounds

My sweet friend Jeanette had a party. She is so incredible. She had her band friends come and I got to listen to her beautiful voice again. Music is such a blessing.

March 14 - Wedding Wave

These are a handful of my ward girls. We all went to see a friend get married off. Instead of rice, she had these very beautiful flags to run though to their car. I loved it.
