Country dancing with the girlsBowling with Brett

December 24 - Untraditionally

I was fortunate to share Christmas Eve with Lizzie and her family.

December 22 - Our Christmas Eve

A couple of family members had to work, so we celebrated Christmas Eve early.

The nieces decided to put on a talent show.
Cute family crammed in to a self portrait.

Crazy KidsSteph & I crammed into the front seat on out way up the mountain.

December 20 - There is Beauty all Around

After cheering on the Utes to a win over Navy at the Poinsettia Bowl, I returned home to find friends blocking my driveway. It had been snowing all evening and they had decided to drive around and take pictures of the new snow. So I hopped in the car with them.

Feels like Christmas
Oh the simple things.
The next morning was incredible. I can't remember the sky being so blue.

December 19 - Work Festivities

Our office small and we definitely dance to the beat of our own drum. For our Christmas party we ate and ate and ate at the Bombay House. We love to hit up this little Indian dive that is close to the office. So the Doc decided to just step it up a little. Then we moved over to the bowling alley (almost the entire staff are patients of ours). Among the couple of games we had a while elephant exchange in honor of "The Office". It was a great night topped with sweets and bonuses. I also walked with a Marvin Gay cd for my elephant...Sweet.

December 17 - FHE

For FHE we delivered Sub for Santa gifts and sang carols. It really had such a wonderful feeling to it. After which our car full went to a taco stand. This was first time, it was freezing out, but tasty. :)

December 7 - Fairwell FNA

For our last FNA of 2007 we had a Christmas party at Meredith's. We only had about eight in attendance, but Meredith and I managed to still have a good time.

Little did Meredith know that I would be called as the first councilor in the Relief Society two days later. FNA was the perfect calling for me as I entered the single life. Meredith is a social butterfly and helped me to jump right in. But I look forward to working in the RS and serving with these wonderful sisters.

December 7 - Christmas Parties

Brooke and I have been friends for about thirteen years. She has three little boys and one on the way. Brooke is the perfect hostess. I hope I am half the mother that she is some day.

December 1 - Lizzie's Birthday

I helped pull together a birthday shindig for Lizzie. We had 30 friends and family surprise her at Olive Garden. She had no clue. I love that. Afterwards we bundled up and walked around temple square to see the lights. It is incredible.

Thanksgiving Weekend

I cherish my time with Brittany. She squeezed me in to her chaotic weekend.

December 5 - Conquer

This probably sounds so silly, but the Doc has a rubiks cube in the office that the boys do all the time. Well, I decided it was time for me to figure it out too. After some instruction and several completions with my cheat sheet...Today...today I did it without. I can officially complete one of these babies without help. It's quite enjoyable. :)

December 1st - The White Stuff

It snowed, it snowed, it snowed!!! I thought Tuesday was fun, but look at what December brought. I didn't realize how much I loved seasons until I was way from it for awhile. Love it. Merry Christmas! Let the snowboarding begin.
Roomie Katie taking on the parking lot, so we can get out.
How much would you say it snowed last night? 12 inches?
Even the power lines look pretty. Love it.
I hope wherever you are, you are able to enjoy this beautiful Christmas season. :)

November 29 - Brett & Billy

I was set up tonight with Brett. We went to the Billy Joel concert at the Energy Solutions Arena after some very tasty Cafe Rio. We were assigned to these fairly high seats completely surrounded by people. So we decided to take advantage of the many seats below that weren't taken and have some breathing room. Joel fans are amusing. Then Brett and I talked until way past his bedtime for his 5am rise. It was fun and entertaining.

November 27 - Let It Snow!

It officially snowed! So instead of heading to our planned country dancing, we went sledding instead! Is there enough snow? People would ask... of course there was. Here are a few fun pics with Jen, Steph, Jordyn, Ian and Andi:

Easy Cherry Cheesecake

No really...it's so easy that I can even make it. For Tami:

2 C Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/2 C Melted Margarine or Butter
1 Pkg (8 oz) Softened Cream Cheese
2 T Milk
1 C Powdered Sugar
1/2 t Vanilla
2 C Whipped Topping
1 can Cherry Pie Filling

In a 19x13x2-inch pan, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted margarine. Use a fork and level well, then press firmly in bottom of pan (or just cheat and buy a crust). Combine and mix until smooth the cream cheese, milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread over cracker crumbs. Then cover with chilled cherry pie filling. Chill 2 hours. Makes 18 to 24 serving.

It's so tasty it has ruined all other cheesecakes for me. Enjoy!

What Flavor Are You?

Results are in...

That means I...
"You embody the perfect blend of sweetness and seduction. You personality is just as luscious and irresistible as chocolate ice cream. You have a flirty, melty attitude that's easygoing and delicious. You appreciate luxurious, extravagant things, like the way ultra-soft fabrics feel against your skin. Some people want to hog you all to themselves, but you find ways to make everyone feel special. "

Interesting :)

November 22 - Full of Thanks

I love Thanksgiving. I tracked down a former family cheesecake recipe. It was tasty.I love my nieces. Aren't they cute?My cousin Gerald's kids weren't as excited about the camera. :)
We then played Nert for hours. I love games. I love my family. There are so many things to be thankful for. I am so incredibly blessed.

New Hobby

I bought a snowboard so I have to learn. Everyone around here already does, so it will be easy to find a teacher.

November 24 - Gotta Love This Game

I don't know what it is about Ute Football, but I LOVE it. I had an opportunity to go to my first rivalry game at BYU.

We headed down the night before and stayed in this SWEET trailer in the high school parking lot. Like 14 hours of tailgating.
I made a new friend, Julienne. She can be just as crazy as me.
It was a Beautiful day! Brianna and I surrounded by Blue fans. We sat in front of this couple Bob & Sandra. They were the cutest things. Couldn't have asked for friendlier competition.
The game flew by. We scored a touchdown with less than a minute left putting us up by one! These guys by us went estatic and so did their shirts. It was crazy fun!
The last minute of the game seriously made my whole body ache from my head to my toes. It was incredible. Though we didn't pull out a victory, we fought til the last second. It lived up to everything anyone ever said about this rival game and worth every penny. :)
