Change of Times

My roommate, Steph, had to move home at the end of April, at which time things started to change around the apartment. For example, I found this in my leftovers container still in the fridge...
not just once

May 10 - Birthday Bash

Marin and I discovered our fine birthdays were literally eleven days apart. Same year and all. So we planned a party at Marin's folks.

The view is incredible. They made me wear this silly ribbon. I'm pretty sure we could have fit some more people in that hot tube.
Macie, Steph and I lounging next to the pool.
Others joined in.
Oh, and then it surfaced that my sweet friend Amy Hamilton is on the same day...mmm, two years later, but the very same day! We absolutely had her join in.
Work took me to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.
Me, Bobbie, Mindy, and Doc26th birthday...last year was better.
But thanks to all of the birthday wishes that were sent.

May 8 - Goodbye Goodies

A friend of mine was taking off for the summer, so she had a BBQ. Random good times.

Tami, Macie, & I enjoying the homemade cupcakes.
They had set up a lot of chairs that no one used, so I took some time on each one. Macie wouldn't give up her chair. So we shared.
They had a huge swing in her backyard. Jen Jan and I took advantage.
Ryan took a few turns running under me.
A handful of the entertainment.

May 1-4 - Welcome to Utah!

My San Francisco Nikki ventured to my crazy neck of the woods. So I took her along with me for a weekend. She got in late Thursday night...so we went country dancing. She even attempted line dancing. I'm so proud of her. Nothing like country style in the good old state of Utah. Then we hit up late night goodness at Village Inn. Typical wind down. Next day...Shopping at Gateway and lunch at the DoDo.We went on the complete tour of the city...including the Great Salt Lake. No trip to Utah would be complete without a stop at Cafe Rio.And a conference center and temple square tour. Then Cold Stone ice cream and Park City playing with Macie.
Some shoe shopping at the Factory Outlets.
Followed by a Stake BBQ activity in the canyon and of course the best activity in the world...bowling.
I tried to show off my skills (#4). Sunday, I taught the lesson in Relief Society. I sang For Good with Marin accompanied by Mindy on the piano and Katie on the violin. I think I successfully had 80% of the girls in tears. Then we ended up at my mom's for a lunch with my family. Nikki was so wonderful all weekend. I really just threw her into my world. I joked that after all this she was Mormon. She is an incredible person. I am so lucky our paths have crossed.
Thanks so much for coming to visit me Nikki!!

April 26 - Best of...

Then off to my favorite past time...Bowling!
House ball and house shoes...

Best of's

April 25 - Good Old Days

Reconnected with a couple of oldies from forever ago. We had a nice BBQ and campfire at Nikki's. Crazy how fast time flies.

Dunes Days

This spring I've gone three times down to the Little Sahara Sand Dunes with friends to go camping and ride quads. Here is just a random collection of photos from those weekends.

Nikki & I using McDonald's wireless to look up Twilight stuff on our way down.
Nikki, Cooper and I watching the crazies at the "Face" in a kid safe zone.Suiting up for my first solo ride.
I blew up this quad. Nikki had to tow me back.
Apparently, they were just waiting for this to happen. I got to be the privileged.
Nikki & I being goofy late night around the camp fire. All guacha'd up and kicking some trash at cards.Hanging out with the girl, Olivia.

Summer Craziness

(Just a quick note from work)
So I'm fully aware that I am now more than a month behind in my blogging efforts. My apologies. I'm on the go every weekend these days and also moved apartments. As soon as the dust settles...Watch Out! It will be mass postings to catch up. Forgive me. Hope you all are well and enjoying the summer time too. :)
